8 Pre-planning Applications on the Donkey Field and the Farmers Field since 2015

Since 2015 no less that seven separate applications have been made to the Local Planning Authority (LPA) of the Isle of Wight Council or their Highways agents, Island Roads, for pre-planning advice concerning access and or development on one or other fields or both. Savethedonkeyfield.co.uk has obtained copies of the relevant documents under the Freedom Of Information Act and links to such documents are set out below.

In February 2015, a pre-planning application was made relating to the potential development of 9 houses on the Farmers Field. The following document were submitted :- E-mail string involving Rights of Way ; Plan. Island Roads response is here.

In October 2016, a pre-planning application was made relating to the potential development of 9 houses on the Farmers Field. The following documents were submitted  :- Initial Layout. Island Roads response is here

In January 2017, a pre-planning application was made for development on the Farmers Field. The application is here and seemingly the Council made no written response.

In June 2018 a pre-planning application was made relating to the potential development of 9 houses on the Farmers Field. The following documents were submitted and  is here :- Plan PL01. The Council’s response is here.

In March 2019 a pre-planning application was made for development on the Farmers Field. The following documents were submitted:- Supporting Statement ; Plan ; Type A Unit Plan ; Type B1 Unit Plan ; Type C Semi Unit Plan ; Street Scene 1 ; Street Scene 2 ; Type A Front ; Type A Rear ; Type B Front ; Type B Rear. In September 2019 a pre-planning application was made to Island Roads, acting on behalf of the IoW Council, concerning access from Solent View Road relating to the potential development of 3 houses on the Donkey Field and associated access to the Farmers Field. In September 2019 an application for pre-planning advice was made relating to the potential development of either 3 or 9 houses on the Donkey Field with access through the Farmers Field. In February 2021 an application for further pre-planning advice based on original advice given in 2018 was made to Island Roads, acting on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council, in respect of the development of the Farmer’s Field.
